Responsibilities:

As an Analytics Engineer at The Data Forest, you’ll turn complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive business impact, with a strong focus on data warehousing, data modeling, and scalable BI solutions.

Your day-to-day includes:

  • Design and implement data warehouses: from conceptual modeling to production-ready environments
  • Model data smartly: develop star schemas, snowflake schemas, and normalized models
  • Advise on BI architecture: guide on the optimal platforms and tools
  • Build and optimize ETL pipelines: ensure reliable, scalable, and clean data flows
  • Design intuitive dashboards & reports: translate data into actionable stories
  • Communicate insights effectively: share findings with both technical and business stakeholders

Do you have the right roots ?

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or equivalent experience
  • Has 5+ years hands-on experience in data warehousing and modeling
  • Is proficient with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker…)
  • Knows ETL frameworks (SQL-based, SSIS, Airflow…)
  • Has deep database knowledge (SQL Server, Snowflake, BigQuery…)
  • Excels at data storytelling and visualization
  • Communicates fluently in English and Dutch
  • Brings a driven mindset and a passion for creating a sustainable future
